Overview
The "Cluster" tab allows you to configure WEBDEV clusters linked to the WEBDEV Application Server. You can:
  • Add or remove cluster nodes.
  • View the cluster nodes.
  • Access a proxy configuration example.
  • Identify synchronization errors.
Details of the "Cluster" tab

Cluster nodes

The different nodes of the cluster associated with the WEBDEV Application Server are listed. You can:
  • Add a node to the cluster. In this case, indicate the details of the node to be added in the window that appears:
    • the DNS name of the new node.
    • the security key obtained when installing the node. For more details, see Installing a WEBDEV cluster.
    • a description of the node (for information purposes).
  • Remove a node from the cluster. Select the node you want to remove and select "Remove node from the cluster".

Proxy configuration

Reminder: A cluster is a set of servers that contain the same sites and webservices. A main server ("Proxy" server in this case) is required to direct the load to one of the servers (cluster node).
Each time a node is added to a cluster, this node must be made accessible to users via the proxy server.
The WEBDEV administrator includes a sample configuration for an HAProxy server. The actual syntax or configuration will depend on the infrastructure being used. For more details, see WEBDEV cluster: Proxy configuration.
Remark: If you need to perform a specific operation on one of the cluster nodes, simply remove it temporarily or permanently from the proxy declaration.

Recent errors

In a WEBDEV cluster, nodes automatically synchronize with each other. The nodes periodically synchronize the configuration of the WEBDEV Application Server, as well as the configuration and content of the sites and webservices deployed.
If a synchronization error occurs, a log file is automatically created and can be read later on.
