Remark: The  icon (found in the online help) indicates the differences between the user version of report editor and the standard report editor. Report data source The user version of the report editor cannot be used to create: - reports based on an HFSQL view. However, you can customize reports based on an HFSQL view, if they were created in the standard report editor (color, font, size, etc.).
- reports based on a Table control. However, you can customize reports based on a Table control, if they were created in the standard report editor (color, font, linked columns, size, etc.).
- reports based on an Organizer or Scheduler control. However, you can customize reports based on an Organizer or Scheduler control, if they were created in the standard report editor (color, font, linked columns, size, etc.).
- reports based on a programmed data source.
Remark: The data files and the items that can be used in a report based on a data file are defined in the data model editor of WINDEV. For more details on the requirements to use a WINDEV application with the user report editor, see Distributing Reports & Queries. Functions for modifying records Functions modifying records ( HAdd, HModify, HDelete, etc.) cannot be called in the user version of the report editor. Dockable panes In the user version of the report editor, dockable panes only allow access to: - the main features of the user report editor.
- the accessible elements (reports, queries, etc.) of your project.
Custom skin templates of reports The user version of the report editor does not allow you to create your own skin templates of reports. Modifying the reports found in an external component "Reports & Queries" does not allow the end user to modify a report found in an external component. Modifying the reports found in an external library "Reports and Queries" does not allow the end user to modify a report found in an external library. For more details on components, see Library.
