Proposing several print modes during the report test During the report test, the report editor proposes several print modes: To avoid displaying this window, simply check "Do not show again". In this case, the tested report will be viewed in a print preview. Show the name of controls To show or hide the names of the controls in the report editor, on the "Names of controls" tab, in the "Display" group, check "View" (or press F6). Another solution: - On the "Display" tab, click the dialog box launcher () of the "Options" group.

- In the "Name of controls" option, select:
- "Display" to display the name of controls,
- "Disabled" to display nothing.
Show the report margins The margins of reports can be: To change this display mode in the current report, go to the "Display" tab, "View" group, check or uncheck "Logical margins" (or press F11). Another solution: - On the "Display" tab, click the dialog box launcher () of the "Options" group.
- Display the "Display" tab if necessary.
- In the "Report margins" option, select "Show margins" or "Don't show margins".
Showing the content of data files The report editor allows you to show the content of data files in the controls of a report currently created. This feature allows you to configure the size of a control according to the data that can be displayed in the control. This feature is called "Live Data". For more details, see Live Data. Showing the useful page The report editor is used to display the current report as it will be when it is printed: - the report margins are invisible,
- the names of report blocks are abbreviated when displayed.
To preview a report as it will be printed, press F5. Display the name of blocks (in full or abbreviated) The name of the blocks is displayed on the left of reports. These names can be displayed: To change this display mode in the current report, go to the "Display" tab, "View" group, check or uncheck "Full name of blocks" (or press F10). Display the language associated with each font To modify the font in the report controls, you must use: - The "Font" combo box in the "Style" tab of the control description.
- The "Font" combo box in the popup bar of the report editor.
By default, only the names of the fonts installed on the development computer are displayed in the "Font" combo box. In Windows, the same font can be associated with several groups of languages. To fill each font name with the associated language: - In the report editor, go to the "Display" tab and click the dialog box launcher () of the "Options" group.
- Open the "Preferences" tab if necessary.
- Check "Display all available languages".
In the "Style" tab of a given control, the list of fonts will be as follows: Remark: This option will be taken into account during the next report opening. Showing the controls and the blocks via a border The report editor allows you to quickly view all the controls and blocks found in the current report. You can: - frame the controls and blocks with a simple line. This line appears in edit mode only. This line is not visible at runtime.
This border is used to easily view the area occupied by the controls and blocks found in a report (especially for the image controls). - show the corners of the controls and blocks. This view mode, lighter than a line, allows you to quickly view the different areas.

To change the display mode in the current report, go to the "Display" tab, "View" group, and select the requested display mode: The F7 key is used to dynamically modify the display mode. Another solution: - On the "Modification" tab, click the dialog box launcher () of the "Options" group.

You can use millimeters or inches in the report editor. To choose the measurement unit used in the report editor: - On the "Display" tab, click the dialog box launcher () of the "Options" group.
- Open the "Preferences" tab if necessary.
- In the "Measurement unit" section, select the unit that will be used in display: millimeters or inches.
- Validate. The selected measurement unit will be used for the next reports opened in the report editor.
